One of the oldest non-profit and non-governmental organizations operating in India, HelpAge India was founded by Sri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, Mr. Jackson Cole, and Samson Daniel in 1960. The NGO has been working in taking care of the disadvantaged elderly people by giving them a better quality of life. It works in association with ‘Senior Citizens Associations’ and advocates quality healthcare, Universal Pension, action against elder abuse, and many more at a national, state, and societal level with State and Central governments.
