[Q] WHAT ARE THE KEY FACTORS TO CONSIDER BEFORE STYLING A WEDDING TROUSSEAU?
“Before styling a wedding trousseau you need to understand the bride and what she wants, what does she like, what’s her taste and what kind of silhouettes will flatter her body type. Understanding the bride is the most important aspect.”
[Q] WHAT ARE THE MAJOR BRIDAL TRENDS THIS SEASON?
“The major bridal trends for the summer bride’s this season are bright colours, basically bright yellows, peaches and pinks, which are of course an all-time favourite. Including a lot of culture and heritage with modern elements, I think Falguni Shane Peacock’s newest collection would be perfect for the summer bride.”
[Q] IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE ADVICE TO THE BRIDES-TO-BE WHAT WOULD IT BE?
“One advice I would like to give the brides-to-be is that do not go overboard with their looks and end up looking like a Christmas tree, I think it’s very important to keep it minimal yet classy.”
[Q] HOW TO CREATE DIFFERENT TRADITIONAL LOOKS FOR DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS?
“There are lots of ways in which you can create different looks for different functions; one can be by accessorizing differently for various events. Maang tikas, haathphools incorporate them in your mehendi and sangeet looks. Add a belt, use two dupattas, there are many ways to style all the silhouettes in a unique way for each function.”
[Q] COMMON MISTAKES ALL THE TO-BE BRIDES TEND TO MAKE?
“Big mistake brides tend to make is basically going over the top with their outfit and jewellery; they need to balance it out, by keeping one light and the other heavy.”
