It was only when Christopher Wool immersed himself into the world of underground films and music, that he found his calling of being an artist, but certainly not an ordinary one. Armed with stencils, spray paint and even screen printed elements, Wool took to creating his signature paintings that were all about making a profound statement, literally and figuratively. Reproduction, appropriation, and accretion – are Wool’s areas of focus or technique to create phrases that are bold, baffling and mind-blowing. His exhibitions have made it to some of the noteworthy art galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, and beyond; while his collection belongs to the MoMA, Tate and other renowned ones.
