Bristol-based artist Chris Gambrell has earned a reputation as an artist and fashion illustrator, who explores the depths of textures, forms and colours through his drawings and paintings. He is also known to have developed a vibrant style where he uses dynamic materials and media. Till date, Gambrell’s impeccable artworks have led him to opportunities of working with famous European fashion houses, along with fashion magazines and press all over the world. In 2020, Gambrell was handpicked to be one of the seven artists by fashion magazine Vogue to draw and illustrate his favourite couture looks from the archived pages of Vogue Runway. Gambrell’s artwork can also be seen on the cover image of the biography of Italian baroque artist Artemisia Gentileschi, which accompanies a landmark exhibition of Gentileschi’s work at the National Gallery in 2019.
