RADHIKA MADAN

She made her television debut at a young age and earned her fair share of stardom, but her first performance on silver screen in the movie, ‘Patakha’ made everyone sit up and take notice of the powerhouse that Radhika Madan is. She was unabashed, raw and as real as it gets, which efficiently translated in her role as a lead actress. Radhika is vivacious and free-spirited, but when it comes to her craft, she means business. At the launch of the #iamfsp2.0 t-shirt campaign for Falguni Shane Peacock, Madan aced the casual t-shirt look by styling it with a sleek skirt and those statement-making space buns. In a fun tête-à-tête, we quizzed her about all things Instagram, and she taught us a thing or two about why your social media is a reflection of who you are.

1) HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SHOOTS FOR INSTAGRAM LOOK GOOD?
“I don’t necessarily curate my Instagram with only photoshoot pictures, but sometimes we have to, if we’re heading out for an award show, we post those pictures. So, before going to the event, I call a photographer who clicks my pictures after my hair and makeup is done, that is how I do it.”

2) IS THERE ANY PARTICULAR TIME YOU POST AT?
“Not really, wherever I’m free and not caught up, I cannot strategize according to when will the audience be most active and I should post at that particular time for more likes.”

3) HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR INSTAGRAM AUTHENTIC AND DIFFERENT?
“So I just try to be myself, I try not to copy anybody, I try not to listen to my team and strategize my posts, I try and keep it authentic.”

4) DO YOU READ ALL YOUR COMMENTS?
“No, I don’t, I just read the top comments, that too when I have the time for it.”

5) DO YOU HAVE A TEAM THAT PLANS YOUR INSTAGRAM OUT FOR YOU?
“Not really, unless and until there’s a collaboration with a designer or brand. I try to post about my life and keep it real. My team handles the collaboration part of it, the rest is all me.”
