Building a Powerhouse
There’s much more to the style-savvy Krishika Lulla than the plethora of Bollywood blockbusters…

When one pictures a Bollywood film producer in one’s mind, one’s likely to envision a silhouette clad in a crisp white shirt and a pair of faded blue denims. Perhaps add a baseball cap, a pair of nerdy eye-frames and a pair of comfy flip-flops – that’s the usual cliche associated with Bollywood filmmakers. However, in the last one decade, one individual has successfully and effortlessly managed to quell that imagery. She’s someone, who loves her gold pumps, her statement earrings and warms up to the jet-set glamour like a pro. In a short span of time, Krishika Lulla hasn’t just entrenched herself as a prolific B-Town diva, but also as a significant fashion study. She juggles her Bollywood projects and social commitments like a true blue caviar soignee without missing a chic beat…

“Her career as a Bollywood producer is something every starry-eyed youth only dreams of. Married to Sunil Lulla, Managing Director and Exec Vice Chairman of leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, Eros International, the glamazon made her foray into producing films with 2010’s romantic film Anjaana Anjaani. Next year was the immensely successful one for the fashion-forward producer – from the much-acclaimed Chalo Dilli to Desi Boyz.
Her other memorable works include the romantic Raanjhanaa and fun-filled offerings like Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Happy Bhag Jayegi and Banjo,

With a diverse range of Bollywood films to her resume already, Krishika has also forayed into regional cinema and backed two Marathi projects.”

“Krishika has proved her mettle in the glamour galaxy as an eclectic dresser. One element which is the common thread in all her social appearances is oodles of confidence and chutzpah. From her panoply of body-skimming, embellished gown slashed at the waist to the classic festive anarkalis and Indo-Western fusion ensembles – the fusionista lends a certain character to each ensemble. Her envy-inducing closet has a curated mix of Indian designers and international brands. From Falguni and Shane Peacock beaded creations to Alexander McQueen clutches to Just Cavalli’s easy breezy separates to Suhani Pittie’s artisanal pieces. She clearly enjoys dressing up and that unmitigated love for fashion reflects in the way she carries herself. From an overly embellished evening look to a boho printed day look – Krishika always manages to make that successful transition.”

“There’s much more to Mrs Lulla than glitter-spangled world of B-Town movies. The multi-faceted lady extends her entrepreneurial skills beyond the realms of cinema. She is an active member of the Women’s Wing of the IMC. She also recently fronted a leading jewellery brand Jet Gems. The girl-about-town also lent her support as the brand ambassadress to the grand opening of the famous Mumbai hot spot Enigma at the JW Marriott Mumbai. The hostess with the mostest hosted the launch of the new Asian restaurant Dashanzi at JW Marriott.”
