“What matters is the amount of food you eat at one time and the type of food you eat of course. I’m not saying that if you eat pastries and doughnuts, you will lose weight. But you can still eat foods like Carbs, White bread, noodles, pastas etc. But the only trick here is to eat them in small quantities and don’t them eat them often. If you learn the concept of eat to delete, you can avoid negative consequences.”

2.THERE ARE VARIOUS DIETS FLOATING AROUND THE INTERNET AND PEOPLE END UP FOLLOWING WHATEVER THEY SEE. WHAT DOES ONE NEED TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE ACTUALLY STARTING A DIET?

“Only if the diet is sustainable, only then the results you get by following such a diet will be sustainable, right? If you are going to follow any diet, where the diet plan itself is unsustainable whatever results you get 2kilos, 5 kilos, 10 kilos or 20 kilos, the weight loss is also not going to be sustainable because you are definitely going to go back to your old eating habit and all the weight that you have lost is going to come running back again!”

3. WHAT ARE THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT ONE NEEDS TO FOLLOW FOR FITNESS?

1.“Be friends with food. If you want to get fit, don’t make your food enemy. One of the easiest tricks are to keep your tummy full with the right food at the right time.
Automatically you won’t eat the wrong food especially at the wrong time.

2.Don’t avoid carbs, because carbs are not bad. Carbs are your filling values and energy givers. If you are not going to eat carbs, you will land up eating the
wrong food. Eat the right food at the right time.

3.And the third point is, The only thing you have to have your antenna’s up for is for sugar and fat.”

4. YOU HAVE WORKED WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE FILM INDUSTRY AS WELL, WHO HAVE YOU PARTICULARLY LOVED WORKING WITH?

“I loved working with Deepika Padukone, because she was hardcore and diligent ! If I tell her, that she is not supposed to eat rice or any bread, she is particular about it. She is willing to bend forwards backward anyways, so as long as she gets the body that she wants. So, she is extremely easy to work with.”

5. YOU ARE UNDOUBTEDLY THE MOST FASHIONABLE NUTRITIONIST IN THE COUNTRY, TELL US ABOUT YOUR FASHION CHOICES!?

“My god, my fashion choices are something that instantly go with my heart. I don’t really have any particular fashion style or statement. I dress the way I’m most comfortable with, which usually speaks to me. I don’t like to dress uncomfortable even though it’s trendy.”

6. WHICH CELEBRITY’S WARDROBE WOULD YOU LOVE TO STEAL? WHO DO YOU CONSIDER AS A STYLE ICON?

“Sonam Kapoor. Umm, I think Sonam Kapoor itself! And also she is kind of my baby, so I’m extremely proud of her in all aspects.”

7. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS WEIGHT LOSS?

“Making friends with food, Food is not the enemy. If you are going to make food the enemy, then people like me would walk/pass over you. We eat food because we are humans, If we don’t eat food we will die! So you gotta learn make friends with food.”

8. IF NOT A NUTRITIONIST, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

“Photographer! I have had immense love and passion towards photography. Like taking pictures of food, my children or travel. So quite hands down, I don’t need to give a second thought! If i wasn’t a nutritionist, I would be a photographer. And I think I would do a good job of it!”
